SLP strives for a sustainable approach and contribution to a better environment and a better society, today and for future generations. We see sustainability as an integral part of our operations, our business model and our daily work. The basis for SLP’s sustainability work is the company’s business concept, Code of Conduct, other governance documents and our sustainability goals, which are intended to steer the business in a long-term sustainable direction.

Our sustainability goals

In order to achieve a sustainable approach, SLP has set the following sustainability goals, which are monitored and analyzed annually:

  • New construction to be environmentally certified according to Miljöbyggnad Silver or corresponding certification model and level.
  • All electricity in our properties to be renewable.
  • By end of 2025, half of the lettable area to be environmentally certified according to Miljöbyggnad iDrift Silver or corresponding certification model and level.
  • All relevant business relationships should comply with our Code of Conduct.
  • Solar panels and charging infrastructure for electric vehicles to be installed in at least five properties per year.

Sustainability can be interpreted in a variety of ways, and we have chosen to start from three perspectives that are relevant to our business: people, environment and business. Furthermore, we have chosen to apply a number of the sustainability goals of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, focusing on those goals deemed relevant to SLP and the company’s stakeholders.

Employees/Safe workplace

  • Goal 3. Good health
  • Goal 5. Gender equality
  • Goal 8. Decent work and economic growth

At SLP, our employees are at the center and it is important for us to create the conditions to be an attractive and secure employer where everyone can do a really good job, feel good and grow. The company offers, among other things, occupational health care, wellness benefits and health checks to ensure that our workplace is safe, both physically and mentally. A number of governance documents have been adopted to ensure a clear regulatory framework within the company.

Of course, we strive for an equal workplace. Our Code of Conduct summarizes the common approaches that everyone at SLP should follow to enable a level playing field and the best relationships with each other, our business partners, customers, owners and other stakeholders.

The SLP does not accept discrimination, bullying and harassment – in any of its forms. SLP shall be an equal opportunity company where employees are judged on performance. Everyone shall have the same opportunities to perform their work regardless of gender, gender identity or expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, religion or other belief, or ethnicity.

It is essential that SLP is a reliable employer with decent working conditions. The company has a flat organization where our employees can develop and broaden their skills in order to grow themselves and thus develop the company. We are proud that our employees enjoy working at SLP – a team with a heart that beats for both the company and its customers!

  • Goal 7. Affordable and clean energy
  • Goal 12. Responsible consumption and production
  • Goal 13. Climate action

As a real estate company, our biggest contribution to environmental sustainability lies in the optimization of our properties. We have a number of sustainability goals aimed at achieving environmentally sustainable buildings, including increasing the share of renewable and recycled energy and having green electricity in all our properties.

  • Green electricity in 100 percent of the company’s properties
  • 100 percent of the company’s new production will be certified silver
  • At least 50 percent of the lettable space will be environmentally certified by 2025
  • 100 per cent of SLP’s strategic business relationships will comply with the company’s Code of Conduct
  • Sustainability projects are evaluated and implemented on an ongoing basis to improve energy consumption
  • Solar panels and charging infrastructure for electric vehicles to be installed in five properties per year.

Business ethics

  • Goal 16. Peace, justice and strong institutions

Our ambition is always to create long-term business relationships and partnerships, with both customers and suppliers. This is a prerequisite for us to be able to create long-term profitability and business that is sustainable over time. One of our sustainability goals is that all business relationships should comply with our Code of Conduct. The Code of Conduct is a tool to ensure that our business is conducted in a sustainable and responsible manner and applies to both employees and partners and covers aspects such as sustainability, corruption and business ethics – and a whistleblower policy – with procedures for reporting irregularities and misconduct.
