Sustainability

SLP strives to ensure sustainable working methods that contribute to improving the environment and society, today and for the future. We view sustainability as an integral part of our business model and daily work. SLP’s sustainability work is based on the Group’s business concept, Code of Conduct and other governing documents, as well as our sustainability policy and sustainability framework with related goals. By integrating sustainability, we create value for our stakeholders in both the short and long term.

Our Responsibility – sustainability framework

We have chosen to call our sustainability framework Our Responsibility. It spans three focus areas – Planet, People and Business – and includes the company’s key sustainability areas. Our Responsibility contains concrete goals, KPIs and activities in each focus area. The framework is based on materiality analysis and stakeholder dialogues carried out. The goals linked to identified key sustainability areas have been adopted by the company’s Board.

Planet

The main contribution we are making to environmentally sustainable development is optimizing our properties. Lower energy consumption, a higher proportion of renewable energy, resource optimization and environmental certification of our property holdings create value both for the planet and for SLP as a company.

Goals

  • 100 percent renewable electricity
  • 100 percent environmentally certified new production in accordance with the Sweden Green Building Council Silver level or equivalent 
  • Reduce energy use by 15% over five years – comparable portfolio

 

UNTIL 2027

  • 70 percent of the lettable area shall be environmentally certified according to BREEAM In-Use level Very Good or equivalent
  • The output from solar cell systems installed on properties shall be at least 25 MWp
  • Reduce the lettable area from properties with energy class F and G – maximum 5 percent by year-end

UNTIL 2030

  • 100 percent fossil-free energy
  • Zero carbon emissions from property management (Scope 1 and 2)

    UNTIL 2040

    • Net zero carbon emissions

    People

    To look after people, our employees and tenants, are both critical to SLP’s success. SLP shall actively strive to retain and attract skilled employees and do our utmost to create long-term relationships and environments where our tenants enjoy working.

    • Employee willingness for recommendation (eNPS) >45 
    • <2% short-term sick leave for SLP’s employees
    • <3% long-term sick leave for SLP’s employees
    • Zero serious accidents or fatalities in the own workforce, including hired contractors
    • 40–60% gender balance among employees, executive management and the Board of Directors
    • >80% satisfied tenants

      Business

      We shall run the operation in a sustainable way with lasting long-term profitability. Everything we do shall be characterized by good business practice. We shall focus on long-term business relationships and partnerships with our tenants and suppliers alike.

      • Zero tolerance of corruption
      • All material suppliers (> 250 SEK thousands in purchase per year) shall sign our Code of Conduct
      • All material contract suppliers (> 25 SEK thousands in purchase per year) shall self-assess based on our Code of Conduct

      UN Global Compact

      SLP supports the UN Global Compact and the ten principles regarding human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.

      Our Code of Conduct and Code of Conduct for suppliers is based on the ten principles of the UN Global Compact.

      Science Baset Target initiative (SBTi)

      As part of SLP’s sustainability work, the company submitted its Scope 1 and
      Scope 2 climate targets for validation by the Science Based Targets initiative
      (SBTi) at the end of 2025. These have now been validated, and SLP commits to
      reduce absolute scope 1 and scope 2 GHG emissions 50% by 2030 from a 2024
      base year, and to measure and reduce its scope 3 emissions.
